Managing Dogs and Children

£2.50

Managing young children and dogs together is hard work. The novelty of getting a dog can lead to excessive attention from enthusiastic children, which can in turn excite the dog or cause them to feel smothered.

Exhausted parents can feel they’re constantly on their children’s case to leave the dog alone, be quiet and slow down. This is as well as getting frustrated at the dog for jumping, mouthing and barking at the children.

In some situations, things can escalate to dangerous levels where children can be left with bruises or worse.
