Why choose us?

  • Our classes feature in the 2022 book “Canine Behaviour In Mind” by Suzanne Rogers as an example of applying the science of dog training and behaviour to a class environment.
  • Overseen by Roz, a behaviourist with a Master’s Degree in Clinical Animal Behaviour and a peer-reviewed author on puppy socialisation. Supported by our trainer APDT accredited trainer Amanda.

  • Access to our outdoor classes for existing clients, working on foundation behaviours in a group of dogs.

Other key points:

  • Minimum age for pups to start the first practical online class is 8.5 weeks, which gives them time to settle in to their new homes.
  • Your puppy needs to have at least one vaccination before attending the classroom sessions.  They do not need to wait until they have had two vaccinations. It’s crucial we build up their experiences carefully before then. This vaccination protocol is in line with WSAVA guidance and mirrors that of Lincoln University, one of the top establishments for canine behaviour and welfare education in the UK.

During lockdown we noticed our online classes produced a superior standard of training to normal. This isn’t suprising, training should always start in a low distraction environment! So, we modified our course to create the perfect format. The online class lets you practise in a low-pressure environment (your home) and gives young pups the time to settle and bond with you. Once in the classroom, all pups will have a foundation of learning in place that will set them up to succeed in the more distracting environment.

6 week puppy class course : £115.00 inc VAT
1 hour 1-2-1 session (in person) + 3 classroom sessions (none online): £150.00 inc VAT
Puppy class course (6 classses) + 1 hour 1-2-1 session on course completion: £175.00 inc VAT

Refunds: Cancellations before the course starts incur a £40.00 admin fee, deducted from the refunded amount (plus goody bag value, if taken). This fee covers resources provided upon booking and allows you to retain your place in the support group.
Cancellations part-way through the course, before the classroom sessions start, will only be refunded £50.00 if we are able to fill your place.

    I can’t recommend Roz’s puppy training enough. She has very small groups so can match her advice to each breed and puppy personality … and owners expertise! No question is too small and her relaxed approach and sense of humour make the classes fun but very informative.

    The individual support is fabulous – her advice on how to acclimatise a young puppy to become a school dog was very useful and I now have a lovely, well trained and relaxed dog working beautifully in a special school.

    The online support from the puppy booklet at our initial enquiry and Roz’s Facebook page with ongoing support with issues at any age shows the level of commitment she shows to the puppies and owners she works with.
