What we can train
Our team of professional dog trainers and behaviourists can help with recall, walking nicely on lead, pavement waits, self control, handling/husbandry, settle and life skills for puppies. We offer breed-specific activities, tailoring exercises and training to suit your dog's breed, ensuring they receive appropriate mental and physical stimulation. Additionally, we focus on socialisation skills, improving your dog’s interactions with other dogs and people, fostering positive social behaviours, and reducing over-reactivity.
What you get
Our trainers provide a dog walking or home visit service to clients who have completed a 1-2-1 or behaviour assessment or program. Following your initial session(s), we attend your home and take your dog out for a walk or stay home with them to work on their training, leaving you to crack on with work, chores or leisure! Just like a dog walking service! You can book one walk at a time, or invest in a package of 3 sessions with a 1 hour "debrief" to wrap up. If you want more sessions or another package afterwards, then we are happy to help.
Where we can train
We cover the whole of Bristol and will start each session at your home. We can drive your dog to a walk location nearby, complete a local walk, or do training within the home.
Frequently asked questions
Why do I need a 1-2-1 session first?
Not only is it important that we get to know your dog before taking them out for a walk, a 1-2-1 session allows for us all to be consistent. This will facilitate optimum progress to be made on each walk.
Do I get training notes?
We provide individualised training notes for 1-2-1 debrief sessions, but not for the individual walks.
Do I have to have a debrief session?
We recommend demonstrating to you what we learned about your dog and found to be most effective in improving their behaviour. Debriefs will allow you to take the progress we made and move forward with it on your walks with your dog. You can either add 15 minutes to the end of each walk or have a 1 hour 1-2-1 session at the end of three walks. Should you continue to book walks, you do not have to have a debrief every three sessions. Although, we would advise having one every 8-10 walks as a minimum.
Do I have to be home for when you arrive?
It’s advisable that you are present for the first session so we can be sure your dog is comfortable with us attending the home and taking them out for a walk. From there, you can leave us a key in a keysafe or we can keep a key under our care until your final walk or debrief session.
