Vet referral
By law, only a veterinarian can rule pain out as a cause for problem behaviour. Therefore, all professionals should work strictly via veterinary referral. We work closely with most veterinarians in Bristol and your vet should be happy to refer to us.

What we can train
We are qualified to assist with all problem behaviours, such as; anxieties, phobias, abnormal repetitive behaviours, separation anxiety, human or dog directed aggression in or outside of the home, over-reactivity (traffic, dogs, people), predatory behaviours including livestock worrying, arousal related issues, excessive barking behaviours & abnormal eating habits.

Where we can train
In Bristol & surrounding areas, or online. In-person sessions at your home, at one of our private field locations or on location (your usual walking route). Remote (online) training on request. We also have permission to train around livestock and have multiple confident, social helper dogs to assist our training for dog-directed aggression or over-reactivity when needed.
Frequently asked questions
What is the process for assessing my dog's behaviour before starting training?
We request your vet completes out vet referral form and provides your dog’s full medical history and you are requested to complete an extensive questionnaire. Your case is attended to ahead of your assessment, and we provide you with immediate changes to action where relevant. Your assessment will then take place. These take up to 2 hours and will include practical training where relevant.
What kind of support can I expect between sessions?
Clients are given 3 months of support following the date of each session via email and Whatsapp, as well via phonecalls upon request. Handouts and webinars, including video demonstrations are provided to support learning as well as being given access to the online support group on Facebook.
How long does a typical behaviour modification program last?
Following your two hour in-person assessment, which usually covers practical training, you are provided with 3 months of support via email and Whatsapp. Some behaviour problems require multiple sessions that span many months, enabling us to fine tune the program and help you and your dog make ongoing!
Are there any prerequisites or preparations I need to make before starting training sessions?
Clients will need to request a veterinary referral which includes a form and the dog’s full medical history. Clients are also requested to complete a case history form that provides us with a detailed insight into their dog’s behaviour and their daily life.
When waiting more than two weeks for an assessment, clients are given tasks to action ahead of their assessment to get the ball rolling and promote maximum progress on the first session.
