Emily
Emily and Roz first met when Roz helped with her family dog’s behaviour. Roz has a fond memory of the time they all did a tracking session together and Poppy tracked Emily and her sister who had run and hid in a hedge (for Poppy to find I might add!)
After achieving her first class BSC degree in Animal Behaviour and Welfare Science (UOB), three years later Emily came on board as a dog walker for Roz and volunteered for Dogs Trust Dog School for two years to gain practical experience.
Eventually she was snapped up by The Dogs Trust and became a Senior Coach for puppy, adolescent and adult dog classes.
Roz was thrilled when Emily reached out during Covid and immediately offered her the opportunity to work as a puppy class head coach and 1-2-1 trainer.
Roz spotted Emily’s full potential and pushed her to behaviourist level. After being mentored by Roz for two years, Emily passed her CAB exam first time, becoming a full CAB member of the APBC.

A word from Emily:
I have always been passionate about working with animals and from a young age I have surrounded myself with lots of species volunteering at Noahs Ark Zoo Farm and the Cornish Seal Sanctuary.
My focus on dogs was ignited by my family’s first pet- an 11 year old deaf spaniel we adopted from Bristol Dogs home. I was determined that my old dog would learn new tricks so I spent lots of time learning about positive reinforcement training.
We later adopted Poppy as a puppy from Holly Hedge Sanctuary (staffy x collie x Lab). She helped me learn all the joys and difficulties of raising a dog throughout all of their developmental stages and I knew this was something I wanted to help other owners with.
It is a privilege to observe the bond develop between owners and dogs strengthen during training, whether that be during 121 training sessions or behavioural modification programmes.
